Luka Modric Wants to Join Real Madrid

I'm off and this time it's for Real: Spurs ace Modric eyes Madrid move

Luka Modric says he is ready to leave Tottenham with Real Madrid his preferred destination.
Both Manchester United and Paris St-Germain have been chasing Modric in the past, but it seems the Croatian has set his heart on working for Jose Mourinho at the La Liga champions.
Spurs have already started preparing for life without Modric by attempting to snatch Gylfi Sigurdsson ahead of Liverpool and Swansea.

It appeared that the 22-year-old Iceland international was set to follow his old Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers to Anfield in an £8million deal.

Now Spurs, who have yet to appoint a successor to sacked manager Harry Redknapp, have spoken to the Hoffenheim player, who has been allowed by the German outfit to select a new club providing the transfer fee is met

It is believed Spurs have offered a better package and the player, who spent last season on loan at Swansea, is seriously considering it. Sigurdsson was a major influence in Swansea’s impressive showing in their first season in the Premier League.
